Maison d’Haïti is a community and cultural organization founded in 1972 with the mission of welcoming, educating, integrating, and improving the living conditions of people of Haitian, Afro-descendant, and immigrant backgrounds. Maison d’Haïti carries out its work through six coordinating divisions: Education, Family, Women, Integration, Youth, and the Arts Center. Like these memories, the documents, publications, letters, photos, videos, and artifacts in the archives of the Maison d’Haïti are part of a rich institutional heritage, one that allows us to anchor ourselves in a lived history today, in order to better envision the future.
