Developed by the Haitian Studies Association (HSA), Konbit Konesans is a digital library dedicated to gathering multilingual sources related to Haitian studies, including publications, teaching materials, and syllabi. This konbit, aims to address the persistent underrepresentation of Haitian knowledge in academic publishing while breaking down the economic and linguistic barriers that limit access to information.

Overview

This free online platform brings together recent publications, course syllabi, and helpful resources for researchers, students, and the general public. Its goal is to share knowledge about Haiti and its diaspora in a accessible and multilingual way, and to support academic research. The content is selected and organized by members of the Haitian Studies Association (HSA) and its Digital Fellows, who help build and manage this growing database.

This project relies on the active participation of the Haitian Studies community. We invite researchers, professors, graduate students, and anyone involved in this field to contribute to this collective platform. As its name suggests, Konbit Konesans is a collaborative effort. Each contribution helps to strengthen and expand the dissemination of Haitian studies.

We thank the authors and rights holders who have agreed to make their work available on this platform.

If you have produced a document related to Haiti or its diaspora and would like to share it, please submit it here.

Metadata and translation

We make site content more accessible by organizing and indexing each publication and resource in multiple languages: English, French, and Haitian Creole. Users can search by field, author, journal, access level, and switch between languages throughout their exploration. Additional languages will be added over time.
